Statuario: white marble with grey veining, in polished 60x120 porcelain
Statuario is the series we get asked for most when a project wants a bright white floor with a pronounced grey vein: the look of Carrara Statuario marble without its drawbacks. The porcelain reproduces the vein with high-definition printing and a mirror-polished finish that multiplies light in living rooms, hallways and master bathrooms.
Compared with natural marble, the difference is in daily use: the vitrified surface does not absorb water or grease, never needs sealing and is cleaned with water and neutral soap. In rectified 60x120 it is laid with a 1.5 to 2 mm joint, giving an almost seamless plane in rooms of 15 to 40 m². Being polished, it is a product for dry areas: for a shower floor or a terrace choose an anti-slip series such as Indo.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Statuario porcelain suitable for a bathroom floor?
- Yes for the general bathroom floor and for the walls, including the shower area as wall tiling. For the shower tray itself or any floor that stays wet, use an anti-slip tile, because a polished finish is slippery when wet.
- What joint width does Statuario 60x120 need?
- As a rectified tile it is laid with a minimum joint of 1.5 to 2 mm using a white or light grey grout. Double-buttering and a levelling system are recommended to avoid lippage between tiles.
- How do you keep the polished finish shiny?
- Regular cleaning with water and neutral soap, avoiding abrasive products and strong acids. It needs no waxes or sealers: the shine belongs to the vitrified surface and does not wear off with household use.
